Joe is a British Born, Amsterdam based Director and Writer.

Having burnt a hole in the roof of the house at the age of 13 shooting his first short film, entitled 'Fire-God' (due to ill-advised 'in-camera' pyrotechnic visual effects), Joe has been making and creating films from a young age.

Joe’s first foray into ‘incident-free’ film-making began in London's live music scene,
creating acclaimed performance documentaries for acts such as Q-TipTinie TempahWeezer, Kate Tempest and Jurassic 5.

Since then, his love for music, poetry and comedy has informed and framed Joe's lyrical realism, wry visual humour and cinematic style, directing TVC’s and content for brands such as Nike, SonyAmazon, GoogleEA Sports and Jack Daniels, winning him a Cyber Cannes Lion for Storytelling, an Epica Grand Prix, several FWA Sites of the Day and Shots Awards.

Taking what he's learnt from capturing authenticity in documentary, Joe's approach to comedy and drama infuses realism and improvisation to create memorable and moving moments on film.

Joe is happy to confirm that his sets have been fire free since 1993.*
